This Evanston family was looking to refurbish their home that was blessed with a solid structure - enabling a complete renovation and restoration of its original Victorian-era elegance. We installed all new woodwork and fine detail to showcase the historic architectural form. The double parlor was transformed into a grand living room with recessed can lights and the installation of diagonal wood flooring created the illusion of a wider room. The living room's original pocket doors were reconditioned and the crown molding was replaced throughout the house. Stained-glass windows were restored to their original jewel-tone colors, while clear glass panels were positioned on the exterior to provide climate control. Early 20th century artwork finished off the house influencing each room with old-world ambiance. This refurbished and updated home will last for centuries to come.
