Style Profile My philosophy on dressing is similar to the way I design interiors. Size and scale together with fine fabrics and quality construction are essential. It's all about balance. I love beautiful clothes and have favorites that have been in my closet forever, yet each season I add new pieces that represent key silhouettes, then finish them off with wonderful accessories.
Must Have A good seamstress is invaluable to help you tweak your classics to keep them fresh. Cut, proportion, and fit are crucial. I know what looks good on my body type and never deviate, no matter how much I might love the way something looks on someone else.
Fashion Credo I try not to let my clothes wear me, but search for those that make me feel comfortable and most like myself. Embracing your personal style reflects your inner being so you can relax about the way you look.
Friends Say "Laura is always pulled together, down to every detail, and yet her style never looks studied or forced. She works with the basics and then adds all the details to make the look her own. Her collection of modern and vintage jewelry is unsurpassed! Laura knows how to draw attention to her best assets, so she dresses for her figure. She interprets trends this way as well, adapting a trend to work well on her physique." Carrie Lannon
