For many people, the idea of living on a busy boulevard on the North Side of Chicago would be unthinkable. The traffic noise alone would make a residence there less desirable, right? Wrong.*

For one couple, the answer to whether they should purchase a four-story building that once was home to Chicago's Swedish Club depended on whether interior designer Laura Barnett thought they would be able to turn it into their dream dwelling.
